I know it seems sometimes like there’s no one there for you.
That’s when I pray like it’s the only thing to do.
And it’s amazing to see the Lord just see me through.
And know it’s only cus other folks are praying too.
Not by strength, not by might, by My Spirit is what He said.
I know He did it because I was feeling dead.
My strength was drained away, dragging on edges of despair.
When something came allong showing me He cares and He’s hears.
So I’m leaning, leaning, leaning on a prayer.
It’s like a thread when I’m at wits end and it never breaks.
It mends and stitches my wounds and my mistakes.
There’s nothing that compares to telling God all of my fears,
my hopes, my dreams my cares and knowing He hears.
It’s clear now that I’m leaning, leaning, leaning on a prayer.
Leaning, leaning, leaning on a prayer.
I know there’s some that don’t believe, you think I’m dreaming, high on lies.
But when you pray you must believe there’s someone on the other line.
He’s a rock, He’s a fortress, a present help in troubles times.
I’ll trust and lean on Him till I’m on the other side.
